Fiddler on the Roof comes to the Fox Theatre

From Pulitzer Prize-winners Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick and Tony-winner Joseph Stein, Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta proudly presents the Tony Award®-nominated Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof. From November 9 to 14, the renowned classic in the theater industry takes up residency at the Fox Theatre during Broadway in Atlanta’s 40th-anniversary run.

Tony-Award® winner and Director Bartlett Sher’s impressive resume includes Broadway staples such as The King and I, To Kill a Mockingbird and South Pacific. Choreography by celebrated Israeli choreographer Hofesh Shechter transforms the classic production into a smash hit. Broadway hits such as “If I Were a Rich Man,” “Matchmaker, Matchmaker,” “To Life (L’Chaim!)” and “Tradition” have audiences swaying and clapping along to the music.

Fiddler on the Roof is a touching story of husbands and wives, fathers and daughters and a vibrant Jewish community in 1905 Russia. The original production opened in 1964, going on to win the Tony Award for Best Musical as well as eight additional Tony Awards that year. The show surpassed 3,000 performances on Broadway, making history! Audiences continued to fall in love with the story after the release of the beloved 1971 movie adaptation. This acclaimed revival proudly introduces a new generation to the iconic musical adored across the globe.

Fiddler on the Roof has musical supervision by Tony Award® winner Ted Sperling, scenic design by Tony Award® winner Michael Yeargan, costume design by Tony Award® winner Catherine Zuber, lighting design by Tony Award®-winner Donald Holder, sound design by Tony Award® winner Scott Lehrer and Alex Neumann and hair and wig design by Tom Watson. Casting is by Jason Styres, CSA.
