If you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend, visit Stone Mountain Park for the 43rd annual Yellow Daisy Festival (YDF). It features more than 400 artists and is consistently voted one of the nation’s top arts and crafts shows by Sunshine Artist Magazine’s Annual “200 Best” survey. This year’s festival is held at Stone Mountain Park’s Special Events Meadow and runs through Sunday, Sept. 11.

When you attend the Yellow Daisy Festival, you are virtually guaranteed to be impressed. The artists are selected from a pool of applicants by the Yellow Daisy Jury to display their distinctive hand-made work in a variety of categories that include jewelry, pottery, sculpture, fabric, painting, photography, fine arts and crafts and more.

The four-day event attracts roughly 200,000 visitors, many of whom are multi-generational shoppers on a family pilgrimage to shop for trendy items.

In honor of the 10th anniversary of 9/11, select YDF crafters are donating a piece of their artwork to be sold in a “We Remember” display. All proceeds will go to HeroBox, a non-profit organization that supports deployed American service members.

In addition to arts and crafts, the Yellow Daisy Festival offers family entertainment and festival foods. Enjoy live music from the JaneDear Girls and other musicians or take the kids to The Children’s Corner for face painting, crafts and more. There will also be The Men’s Den for those who want to catch up on some college or pro football.

This year’s festival is sponsored by Humana. Shoppers can visit the Humana for free giveaways and to enter for a chance to win a Stone Mountain Park Annual Pass Package good for four (4) Mountain Memberships.
