The Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (HBA) is excited to host spring CMP/MIRM designation courses. Gain a competitive edge in new home sales by taking part in online and classroom instruction.

The courses are both split between online and classroom instruction, which will take place March 22 and 23 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Greater Atlanta HBA Main Office.

Principles of Residential Marketing is split into two courses: CMP/MIRM I: Research & Analysis and CMP/MIRM II: Strategy & Implementation. Each course has an online component that must be completed prior to the classroom components. Per course, the price is $474 for HBA members, $499 for other HBA members and $624 for non-HBA members.

After completing the online component of Research & Analysis, participants will be able to understand roles and responsibilities of builders and developers for development of a community, define, conduct and compare market research to determine location, product and target market and understand the macro and micro aspects that must be analyzed for site selection.

During the classroom component, participants will apply knowledge from the online exercises to deepen their understanding of adaptability, evaluations, level of control and flexibility to achieve successful development projects. After completing the classroom component, participants will be able to create a pro forma and annual budget and be able to explain the impact of financial considerations on development decisions, apply research findings to their product to ensure success with their target audience, complete a detailed product analysis and apply best practices for evaluating the product design, pricing and marketing campaign.

After completing the online component of Strategy & Implementation, participants will be able to understand the importance of developing and analyzing a marketing strategy, explain the relationship between marketing, sales and their product, understand the roles of advertising, promotions and sales strategy and identify the various channels for reaching audiences, and determine staffing and sales environment needs. During the classroom component, participants will have the opportunity to develop, implement and apply their company’s marketing strategy to appropriate channels based on their target market.

Upon completion of these March CE designation courses, participants will have 12 continuing education credit hours toward their MIRM or CMP designations.
