Vice President and Managing Broker of Engel & Völkers’ Atlanta North Fulton and Buckhead Atlanta Division, Kelly Stephens, is in the studio for today’s episode of Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio. Joined by co-hosts Carol Morgan and Todd Schnick, the group discusses several initiatives in place for continued success during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic on this All About Real Estate segment of Radio.
Stephens, a Georgia native, has been selling real estate and brokering new homes and resell homes in Atlanta since 1998. She has been with Engel & Völkers for the past four years. Engel & Völkers has two Atlanta locations, one in Buckhead on Peachtree and another next to The Avalon in Alpharetta.
Adjusting to life during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, Engel & Völkers has made several changes and adaptations that it does not plan to do away with, even when business returns to normal. The convenience and wide variety of options now available for buyers and shoppers is unparalleled and makes the entire home buying experience more accessible to a wider variety of people. While in-person options will become available again as soon as it is safe, Engel & Völkers plans to use a hybrid of options to best suit its buyers.
When the pandemic first became an issue in the United States, Engel & Völkers did see a 20% dip in sales, but these numbers quickly turned around. By May and June of 2020, the company was experiencing record-breaking months. These numbers have remained consistent even into the fall months.
In addition to in-house programs created to help buyers, Engel & Völkers has also started heavily partnering with the 19 iBuyers in Atlanta, including Zillow and Open Door. These programs allow clients to easily find homes, accept offers and get into homes faster. It is especially convenient inn the climate surrounding the pandemic.
Engel & Völkers has also partnered with over a dozen builders in the metro Atlanta area. The company understands the building side of the industry and is able to help in a variety of ways at every step of the process. Another partnership Engel & Völkers is proud of is its cooperation with is New American Funding.
“Kelly Allison and her team at New American Funding are amazing for our builder clients,” said Stephens. “What they offer, how they get deals through and are just creative. Basically, during this COVID environment, they had some unique programs for people to get in [to homes] and I just can tell you enough they are a resource.”
