AREF Kim Arrington with New American Funding New American Dream Initiative

Branch Manager of New American Funding’s metro Atlanta office, Kim Arrington, is in the studio for today’s episode of Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio. Joined by co-hosts Carol Morgan and Todd Schnick, the group discusses New American Funding’s platform along with the exciting things it is doing for the community through its New American Dream initiative on today’s All About Real Estate segment of Radio.

In addition to serving as a branch manager for New American Funding, Arrington also plays the role of mom, wife and mentor. She is heavily involved in the community where she works with the young women of the local chapter of Tau Alpha Delta Christian sorority, as well as several local recovery groups and within her church ministry. In both her personal and professional life, Arrington strives to educate, empower and encourage others from a spiritual, physical and financial level.

New American Funding is a lending platform across the Southeast that is dedicated to building positive relationships and confidence through lending practices. The company covers a wide variety of financial products including FHA loans, conventional loans, USDA loans, jumbo products, niche products, down payment assistance and much more. Even during the pandemic when several community products were suspended, New American Funding continued to consistently offer financial assistance.

One of the biggest differences between New American Funding and other lenders is its continued support from beginning to post-closing. According to Arrington, New American Funding is not just there to see clients receive their keys. They are there to forge those relationships, provide post-closing information and ensure their clients have an experience that they feel good about.

Also separating New American Funding from other lenders is its implementation of tangible assistance. While many lenders turn away clients who don’t prequalify, New American Funding sits down with these clients to create a blueprint action plan for moving forward. This plan includes takeaways such as a timeline, budgeting plan and resource referrals.

The goal of the New American Dream initiative is to formulate a tangible product to implement in the community on how to best serve and best reach clients. From Arrington’s experience, the majority of her clients tend to come from minority backgrounds who may not have access to financial literacy. Through the initiative, New American Funding is stepping into the community forefront to provide opportunities for financial education to educators, students and a variety of market sectors including law enforcement, military and medical professionals.

Through the New American Dream initiative, booklets are provided along with programming that provides the opportunity for clients to look at their credit and create a plan without having to be embarrassed or face judgment. New American Funding works one-on-one with clients offering a reality check on where they are, as well as highlight a variety of tools and resources that they can take advantage of. This initiative not only provides clients with an educational backing but also allows them to become more comfortable with the loan process.
