HomeAid 2020 Essentials Drive

2020 Essentials Drive Flyer HomeAidDue to the COVID-19 crisis, HomeAid’s annual Essentials Drive will be held online only. HomeAid has created an online shopping list for each of its individual service partner providers. This allows for those who wish to donate to have the opportunity to support HomeAid, while also fulfilling these organization’s urgent needs.

HomeAid’s 2020 Essentials Drive is a community-wide fundraiser held in conjunction with Mother’s Day to help support mothers and babies experiencing homelessness within the metro Atlanta area. Baby care items such as diapers, wipes and hygiene products are essential for mothers, yet are not available for purchase through government-funded assistance programs. From April 6 through May 5, HomeAid will be accepting donations to help provide these mothers and their families with the essentials they need for their families.

This year’s Essentials Drive is more important than ever in order to help those most vulnerable within the metro Atlanta community. The COVID-19 crisis has resulted in HomeAid’s service providers experiencing an urgent need in supplies. Donations purchased online will be shipped via Amazon Smile and delivered to local nonprofit organizations that work to provide housing and supportive services to infants, toddlers and families in need.

HomeAid’s service partners include Atlanta based organizations including Atlanta’s Children Shelter, Crossroads Community Ministries and Haven ATL among several others. Each service partner has an Amazon Wishlist of the items they are in need of. Many organizations are also accepting monetary and gift card donations towards relevant stores, as well as prepared food and book or board games.
