Michelle Jenkins, president of HomeBilt, is in studio on today’s edition of Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio. Co-hosts Carol Morgan and Todd Schnick welcome Jenkins on this All About Real Estate Segment and discuss the latest projects with HomeBilt.
Jenkins has been in the Real Estate industry for about 25 years, starting in on-site sales and growing to become the president of a production home building company. She started another home building company in 2009 and sold it after a few years. She then began HomeBilt in 2017.
HomeBilt builds homes in and around the metro Atlanta Area. It provides custom homes, as well as quick move-in homes for potential buyers. As a woman-owned company, HomeBilt experiences unique insights other builders might not have.
“Having insight from a woman’s perspective in things that are important in the design of the home helps,” said Jenkins. “The importance of kitchen and the master bedroom gets emphasized, as well as smaller things such as storage, special areas and visual areas within the home. These spaces make it feel like a home.”
HomeBilt completed its most recent project in Hapeville. This project consisted of several single-family homes, all priced up to the mid $300,000s. The convenient location of these homes places them near Hartsfield Jackson International Airport and just outside of Atlanta. This allows for convenient city interaction, with a quiet, laid-back lifestyle. Every single home in the project sold before construction was completed.
HomeBilt is currently working on another project in the Woodland Hills area. The homes in this space are priced from the low $800,000s to the high $900,000s. These large single-family homes feature farm-style exteriors.
Another community HomeBilt is building in is Foster Park in Madison. This community is located close to the downtown historic district of it’s charming town. Only a short three-to-five-minute walk is all it takes to find the best shopping and dining opportunities in Madison.
