Thinking about buying a new home in Atlanta? Perhaps you’re just curious to see what Atlanta builders and communities have to offer. No matter what the reasoning, the Parade of Homes is the perfect place for a live and in-person HGTV experience. On today’s Around Atlanta episode, Vince Longo, President of Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association and owner of Longo Custom Builders shares details on the upcoming 2019 Atlanta Parade of Homes.

Longo serves as the President of Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association. As the President of the association, Longo helps the HBA achieve its goal of promoting, protecting and preserving home building as a viable economic force in Atlanta. The HBA focuses on advocacy and legislative issues that affect home builders on both the local and state levels. Additionally, the HBA provides education for members to promote a higher standard of professionalism within the industry, partners with HomeAid Atlanta to offer charitable work and hosts networking events to help industry professionals make important connections.

Returning for its second year, the Greater Atlanta HBA is hosting the 2019 Atlanta Parade of Homes. The parade will showcase dozens of award-winning decorated model homes throughout the Atlanta area from Saturday, April 27 to Sunday, May 12 during three weekends of open houses. The numerous decorated model homes are located in the nine Metro Atlanta counties that the HBA serves. “The absolute best way to view the new homes and townhomes throughout Atlanta is by taking a tour,” states Longo. “All materials are 100 percent digital and the tours are self-guided. You’re in charge of the homes and communities you want to visit and there’s no tickets, meeting, starting points – nothing! Visit just one or visit them all, it’s up to you!”

A major attraction for home buyers in Atlanta is that the city’s real estate market is so diverse in its offerings. A wide variety of price points, home styles and communities will be available during the parade of homes, so attendees are sure to get a clear vision of what they are looking for. Each builder will have available homesites and option pricing, so home buyers can choose what is most important for their new home. Intown townhomes, homes for vertical living, suburban home styles, single-family detached homes, luxury custom homes and more are available to tour during the parade of homes.

The parade is free to attend, and the homes will also showcase cutting-edge trends in design, energy-efficiency and smart home technology. The actual staging and decoration of the homes feature on the tour may not be included, but attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite home.

To plan your visit during the Parade of Homes, download the Atlanta Parade of Homes app on the app store and Google Play.
