On today’s Around Atlanta segment of Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio, co-hosts Carol Morgan and Todd Schnick continue this month’s celebrations of Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio’s sixth anniversary. Today, Jamie Vosmeier, Senior Director of Sales and Marketing at the Fox Theatre, joins Carol and Todd to promote the Fabulous Fox’s seasonal events and upcoming 2018 season.
The Fox Theatre and its much-loved holiday activities are a huge part of Atlanta holiday season traditions. This year’s lineup will be as exciting as every year. As always, the Fox will be hosting seasonal performances of the Atlanta Ballet’s The Nutcracker, running through the whole month of December. This year, in addition to the traditional Nutcracker ballet performances, the Fox will be hosting The Hip-Hop Nutcracker on November 26. The same story told by the ballet now takes place in New York City on New Year’s Eve and will be told through hip-hop dance and music, as well as a contemporary set with video graphics.
In addition to the performances of The Nutcracker, the Fox will be hosting a free holiday event on December 19, “Mighty Mo and More,” featuring holiday music on the Fox’s organ, Mighty Mo. Guests will enjoy singalongs with holiday music and Santa and a showing of a beloved holiday movie. The event is free, but be sure to RSVP on the event webpage.
On January 2, the Fox will host the professional dancers from ABC’s Dancing with the Stars on their live tour. For one night only, Atlantans can see the dancers from the show pairing up and performing the salsa, the waltz and more, choreographed by Mandy Moore from FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance and 2016’s Oscar-winning La La Land.
