Tara Brown with Ashton Woods Wins Marketing Director of the Year

Atlanta Real Estate Forum congratulates Tara Brown with Ashton Woods Homes for winning Marketing Director of the Year at the 2017 OBIE Awards. Presented by the Atlanta Sales and Marketing Council, the OBIE Awards are the premier awards given in the Atlanta new home construction industry.

Tara has been a part of the Ashton Woods family for 11 years and has become an integral part of the team. Since taking on the role of Marketing Director in 2016 Tara’s contributions have contributed to increased sales volume company-wide. One of the biggest projects Tara oversaw in 2016 was the marketing creation and strategy for the largest community to be built in Sandy Springs: Aria. Tara was directly responsible for creating and masterminding the marketing vision of Aria.

When Tara launched DiscoverAria.com, within the first two weeks the website had well over 1,000+ views and not long after the lead count was up to over 3,000 leads on a VIP Interest List. In early October, Tara planned five informational events hosted at The Studio by Ashton Woods in which over 600 people attended. By early 2017, it was time to grand open Aria, and we are proud to say we have well over 73 homes under contract prior to construction. This would not have been possible without Tara and her dedication to keeping a fresh marketing message out to the public prior to starting sales.

In addition to Aria, Tara oversees 19 additional Ashton Woods communities. Tara’s responsibilities include strategic marketing, signage, model homes, working with the architecture team on the design of new floor plans, website, community events, community operations, budgets as well as overseeing the marketing guidelines for Ashton Woods.

Tara Brown brings 15 years of real estate experience to the position of Marketing Director for Ashton Woods Homes.

Tara has worked for Ashton Woods for 11 of those 15 years, marketing a broad range of homes and communities, from first-time buyers to high-end custom homes in both small developments and master-planned communities. Because of her tenure with Ashton Woods, she has become more involved in the entire process of home marketing and selling, model home designer coordination, pricing in purchasing to construction and quality control.

She is an integral part of the marketing sales process and is skilled at driving traffic to our communities and website consistently, while working to increase the traffic quality just not quantity. She brings a sharp focus to our strategic marketing initiatives. She is incredibly personable, interacting well with not only external customers but we receive numerous complements from trade partners who enjoy working with her. Her postitive attitude is infectious to all that come in contact. Tara is the can-do, won’t-say-no type of Marketing Director and no matter the task is always willing to jump in and lend a hand to the team.

She makes sure new model homes (15 currently in production) are always opened on time and complete from sales office to merchandising and outdoor living space. During this same time, we introduced a new sales office layout for our model homes that is technology and consumer driven and a leader in the field. Tara was the leader and liaison with all trade partners, as well as, our project managers in regards to execution and design of all sales offices.

She handles keeping all print advertising, signage and website up-to-date and looking the best in the industry. This past year she played a major part in the launch of new interactive website tools. She was also invited to partcipate in the development of a new national CRM solution for Ashton Woods. She conducts/compiles in-depth competition analyses to better understand where people are buying and how Ashton Woods Homes should respond to buyer preferences on product, features and pricing. This past year, she was a key leader in the design and launch of over 55 new home designs.

One of the keys to Tara’s success lies in her personality. She eagerly assists in the training of new employees including the training of new Marketing Directors in other divisions of Ashton Woods. She is a great “team player” working well with all departments and she regularly volunteers and takes initiative to work on inter-departmental tasks.

Tara is a proud member of the Atlanta Sales and Marketing Council (SMC) since 2013 and served the past 2 years as the Special Events Committee Chair hosting sold-out SMC Networking Events, compiling and presenting the Top Rung Awards and putting on the Realtor Bus Tour and the Silent Auction. In her time as Social Events Committee Chair, the two Silent Auctions raised a combined total of $21,000 for HomeAid Atlanta – a huge success! She is also actively involved with Autism Speaks, partcipating in Ashton Woods Annual Skeet Shooting Event that raised over $41,000 for the Georgia Chapter and raised close to $4,000 personally for her team, Arden’s Voice, for the Autism Speaks Walk in April. When not working hard in the home building business, Tara enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.

We are proud to have her on our team and it would be an honor to have her recognized for all her achievements.
