The Atlanta Real Estate Forum radio show’s latest edition of Around Atlanta heard hosts Todd Schnick and Carol Morgan speak with Randy Schneider from Andretti Indoor Karting and Games. As the general manager of their Marietta location, Schneider detailed the exciting activities that make Andretti one of the premier entertainment destinations.
Andretti has facilities in both Roswell and Marietta and is best known for its go-karting. The go-karting experience is different at both locations, with Roswell utilizing gas karts and Marietta using electric. The two locations vary in a couple other ways with the Roswell location offering a rock wall and zip-line for further entertainment, and Marietta featuring laser tag and bowling.
The carts themselves are the primary focus of any Andretti location, and these machines can top out at around 35 mph. There are three different tracks available for guests depending on age. The junior track is for kids aged 8 to 11, the intermediate track is for those aged 12 to 15, and the adult track can be used by anyone with a driver’s license.
In addition to go-karting, Andretti has more than 120 arcade games for guests to use, including a zombie shooting simulator and racing simulators. There’s also a full restaurant menu featuring delicious items such as brick oven pizzas, 10 oz. burgers, ribs and other great American grill food. Older guests can enjoy the bar as well.
Schneider noted that safety is the company’s top priority. Everybody receives a full briefing before they are allowed on track, and since each facility includes a bar, rules are in effect to restrict drunk driving. Safety extends beyond the track itself onto the facility as a whole, and employees must complete careful training to ensure the safety of guests.
Through July 25, Andretti is offering a race camp to children ranging from 8 to 14 years old. The camp runs weekly from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. for $375. The payment includes a week’s worth of activities, a T-shirt, nutritious meals and all necessary materials. At the camp, kids will learn about track safety, engine maintenance and steering and braking techniques while having fun go-karting.
Andretti welcomes groups to use its facilities for a variety of events, whether it’s a birthday party or a company outing. With 10,000 square feet dedicated solely to events, guests can rest assured they can have their fun and won’t be disturbed. Schneider also urges parents to look for back to school specials as the summer draws to a close.
