Traton Homes is excited to announce that its recent Pinterest contest, (P)interact with Traton Homes, held Feb. 17 to March 7, 2016, was a huge success and helped celebrate the grand openings of the new decorated model homes at The Reserve at Old Atlanta in Suwanee, Georgia and Vinings Parc East in Atlanta, Georgia.
The first portion of the contest consisted of participants creating Pinterest boards showing how they would decorate the home of their dreams. Each board was required to include the hashtag #TratonHomesPinteractContest. Participants were able to check out the builder’s Pinterest boards for inspiration. The top four boards were posted to Traton Homes’ Facebook page on Feb. 26, and those four participants each received a $50 HomeGoods gift card.
The two boards with the most likes, comments and shares as of March 2 went into a final round of the contest. The two finalists encouraged their friends to vote for them on Facebook. Traton Homes also used Facebook advertising to give the contest more traction. With 35 likes, 13 shares and 35 comments, Deborah Boyd of Norcross, Georgia did a great job at interacting with her voters and won the grand prize of a $250 HomeGoods gift card.
“By utilizing both Pinterest and Facebook for the contest, we were able to connect with a much greater number of people,” explained Kimberly Garwood, director of marketing for Traton Homes. “We enjoyed seeing the beautifully designed contest boards and watching the excitement and interaction throughout the contest.”
During the contest, the home builder gained new Pinterest followers and also had 379 followers of the (P)interact with Traton Homes board, 379 followers of The Reserve at Old Atlanta board and 376 followers of the Vinings Parc East board.
In addition to fostering more engagement across these social platforms, (P)interact with Traton Homes highlighted the stunning new decorated model homes at The Reserve at Old Atlanta and Vinings Parc East.
