Atlanta Real Estate Forum congratulates Kerry White for winning a Gold OBIE for Sales Person of the Year. Presented by the Atlanta Sales and Marketing Council, the OBIE Awards are the premier awards given in the Atlanta new home construction industry.

The word “no” seems missing from Kerry White’s vocabulary. Can she do more for her customers, her broker, the industry or her family? Yes, she can and with energy to spare. White joined Rocklyn Homes as a community sales manager in 2012 and exceeded all expectations. Her focus, energy and leadership helped sell out three Rocklyn Homes’ communities – Westhill, Sweetwater and White Oak.  From June 2014 until June 2015, White logged 64 sales at White Oak. That represented $1.54 million in sales and 85 percent of the total volume.

She was recently promoted to sales manager over a team of 14 agents and two interior designers. Wherever the bar is set, White leaps over it with apparent ease. She showed immediate promise and was named Rookie of the Year by her first employer in 2002 and obtained her broker’s license in 2005. When White was training a young associate, the trainee copied down everything she said. Those notes became a formal training manual, a first for Rocklyn Homes.

She describes herself as “one of these agents who can never sell something they don’t believe in.” It’s a matter of honoring her buyers and ensuring that her morals and values are aligned with those of the company she represents.

The Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association’s OBIE Awards celebrates its 35th anniversary in 2015. The awards began in 1980 and have grown throughout the years to include more than 100 building, remodeling, marketing and personal achievement categories.
