The Atlanta Sales and Marketing Council congratulates Pulte Group for winning a Gold OBIE in the Community Service category for its work with Operation FINALLY HOME and Built to Honor. The OBIE Awards are the premier awards in the new home construction industry.

Pulte Group is helping wounded veterans get mortgage-free homes both locally and nationally through its Built to Honor program, which is supported by Operation FINALLY HOME. Operation FINALLY HOME, which has been instrumental in identifying soldiers who would be candidates for receiving a home. In Georgia, this gift was a 2,600-plus square foot Pulte Home which was presented to Sgt. Perry Haley and his family on May 11, 2014 at Barrington Estates in Sugar Hill. Haley was injured while serving in both Iraq and Korea and has been dealing with health issues as a result of a brain tumor. Pulte Group, along with local suppliers and trade partners, partnered to provide this brand new home, fully decorated, furnished and outfitted for the family of seven. Through Built to Honor, we are bringing our vision to life and supporting these brave individuals who have given so much for our country.

The Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association’s OBIE Awards celebrates its 34th anniversary in 2014. The awards began in 1980 and have grown throughout the years to now feature more than 100 building, remodeling, marketing and personal achievement categories. The OBIE Awards, named after the obelisk shape of the actual award given, are the premier awards in Atlanta’s residential building industry.
