One of the largest building material supply companies in the nation, ProBuild, is today’s All About Real Estate Guest on Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio. Ronnie Gullatt, sales manager for ProBuild Atlanta, is on hand to discuss the many products and offerings available from the company.

As a private, national company, ProBuild has more than 400 locations across the country, including seven in the metro Atlanta area. These seven locations include three lumberyards, two millwork facilities and two truss plants. One of these locations, the showroom on Miami Circle in Buckhead, houses ProBuild’s premium, high-end window collection, which consists of products from Andersen and JELD-Wen. No appointments are required to visit the showroom, which is fully staffed with window specialists.

As a building materials provider, ProBuild is in a unique position to watch as building trends emerge. Right now, some of the hottest trends seen in the housing market include bringing indoor and outdoor living spaces together. ProBuild helps builders incorporate this trend into new homes by providing sliding glass doors and pocket exterior doors, which allows the living spaces to flow into each other.

Another trend that has been top-of-mind for all builders is energy-efficiency. Today’s home buyers want healthy homes that help the environment while also costing them less money. ProBuild contributes to this movement in a variety of ways, including offering high-performance products, such as low-E windows, high-quality glass and moisture- and infestation-resistant products. In addition, the company’s ProEarth program helps to educate builders on how to construct more efficient, healthy homes.

In addition to providing builders with the best materials on the market, ProBuild aims to help the less fortunate through its partnership with HomeAid America, a leading national non-profit provider of housing for today’s homeless. Locally, ProBuild Atlanta is involved with HomeAid Atlanta, where the company assists by supplying material and soliciting for donations. As a HomeAid Atlanta board member, Gullatt has also been involved in enlisting some of ProBuild’s key vendors to help supply products and materials needed for various projects around Atlanta. Currently, ProBuild is supplying materials for a project at Rainbow Village, and Gullatt was able to secure the help of vendor James Hardie.
