Atlanta Real Estate Forum Announces October Radio Lineup

David Ellis and Sam Bass are this week’s guests on Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio. Both guests talk about how the turnaround of the housing market has helped what they are doing in their jobs.

David Ellis is the executive vice president of the Greater Atlanta Home Builder’s Association, which is a non-profit organization that represents the construction and housing industry in the Greater Atlanta area. They have just under 1,000 industry professionals, and welcome additional industry professionals to join them.

David says that he is seeing improving numbers when it comes to the housing market especially in the northern parts of Atlanta. People are finally cautiously optimistic about the future, and as a result, traffic and sales are increasing. He says that while there have been good deals on homes and interest rates out there over the past few years, consumers are just now becoming comfortable with where they stand in the economy.

Our next guest is Sam Bass who is the vice president of sales and marketing with Acadia Homes and Neighborhoods. Sam has been in the industry for 27 years and worked with a number of builders all across the southeast.

Acadia Homes and Neighborhoods has only been in business for two years, but they are already making a huge impact in Atlanta. Acadia rescues neighborhoods, such as The Reserve at City Park and Sutherland Corners, that have been left behind by builders and banks, and they then fill them with products that will meet the demand of the area. They attribute their success to picking neighborhoods at the right price and location and to the turnaround the housing market is seeing.

For more on how Acadia is working to restore neighborhoods all across the metro area in addition to building new communities, listen to the full podcast! For more information on Acadia Homes and Neighborhoods, visit their website.
