With the hint of fall in the air, homeowners are turning their thoughts to autumn home improvements and preparing for holiday entertaining. On today’s segment of All About Real Estate, Michael Schoppenhorst with the Fall Atlanta Home Show and Outdoor Living Expo talks with co-hosts Carol Morgan and Todd Schnick about what they’ll find at this year’s event.
Doors open at 10 a.m. today for the 34th annual show, which has added 40,000 square feet of outdoor living exhibits this year. Homeowners, home buyers, builders, investors and others in the industry get access to industry experts, new trends, and mini showrooms. In addition, live speakers like Egypt Sherrod, Anthony Carrino and John Colaneri from HGTV will present on topics about investing and renovating. Other topics include beekeeping and gardening specific to our region.
This year’s event is packed with features. In cooperation with NARI and the Georgia technical college system, attendees can learn about hiring opportunities in construction and renovation. One vendor in particular is showing a tiny home on wheels and a foundation option, both of which are DIY. Popular Atlanta radio personalities will be on hand to broadcast live and answer questions. The Beer Garden allows visitors to tour the newest ideas in outdoor living, sample local beer and benefit Hope Atlanta to eradicate homelessness. As usual, exhibitors will be giving away great prizes, with a main giveaway being an outdoor lighting package from Outdoor Lighting Perspectives.
There are plenty of ways to get a discount on tickets. Friday is Trade Day, which means that anyone in the industry can get in free with their business card until 6 p.m. Our listeners also get a 50% discount if they use the code in the segment and purchase online. Senior citizens and vets also get discounts. Tickets can be purchased online.
