Chattahoochee Nature Center Wildlife Feeding Time

Families looking to get up close and personal with nature will find a way to do it at the Chattahoochee Nature Center every Tuesday and Saturday until December 30. Join one of the Center’s naturalists for an in-depth look at one of its many rescued, non-releasable animals during its feeding time.

The Wildlife Department at the Chattahoochee Nature Center provides a home for injured animals and focuses on education and rehabilitation. The staff offers medical assistance to countless injured birds of prey, reptiles and amphibians who can be released back into their natural habitats. If the animals cannot survive on their own, they become permanent residents of the Chattahoochee Nature Center and help the staff teach visitors about protecting the Chattahoochee native wildlife.

Visitors can witness the feeding and learn all about the behaviors, habitats and characteristics of resident eagles, hawks, owls, vultures, box turtles and non-venomous snakes. Feedings begin at 4 p.m. on Tuesday and Saturdays and the cost to attend is included with general admission or free to Chattahoochee Nature Center Members. General admission is $10 for adults, $7 for seniors and students ages 13-18 and $6 for children ages 3-12. The Chattahoochee Nature Center is located at 9135 Willeo Road in Roswell.
