The long-awaited Atlanta Business Chronicle Top 10 Home Builders list for Atlanta was just released. The list ranks metro Atlanta home builders based on the number of homes closed in 2010 and is one of the many lists that appears in the Chronicle’s ever popular Book of Lists.

D.R. Horton tops the list with 648 homes closed in 2010 and Jim Chapman Communities is at number 10 with 52 closings. National builders comprise four of the five top spots, and of course, the competition for these spots will be even more heated this year with another national builder in the mix. Look for Lennar Atlanta to make a run for the top 10, as well as new hometown builders such as Edward Andrews Homes, Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods, Wilson Parker Homes and Home South Communities.

We are pleased to see a number of Atlanta Real Estate Forum participants on this list. Congratulations to all the builders on the list.
