Easter, like many holidays, is all about tradition. Whether it’s having the family together at grandma’s house or painting hard boiled eggs, everyone has a favorite activity. If you and the rest of the family are looking for something fun and different to do this Easter, there are several Georgia State Parks holding celebrations and activities. Not only will your children be able to get outside and play, but they’ll also be able to participate in a brand new family tradition.

Crooked River State Park (St. Mary’s, Ga.): April 23, 1-2 p.m. Come join the free Easter egg hunt for children ages 1 to 11. After the hunt, bring your lunch for a picnic and a tour of the nature center!

Florence Marina State Park (Omaha, Ga.): April 23, 1-2 p.m. Children can come participate in an Easter egg hunt and can even meet the Easter bunny.

Georgia Veterans State Park (Cordele, Ga.): April 23, 10 a.m. Bring your children to the 22nd annual Easter egg hunt where children 8 and under can search for over 3,000 candy-filled eggs. Little ones two and under can search in a baby patch.

Reed Bingham State Park (Adel, Ga.): April 23, 2-5 p.m. Enjoy animal shows and an Easter egg hunt that is fun for the whole family.

Stephen C. Foster State Park (Fargo, Ga.): April 23, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Children will be able to make their own Easter baskets out of recycled materials and then participate in an Easter egg hunt!
