HomeAid Atlanta is a non-profit organization that provides transitional housing for temporarily homeless individuals and families in Atlanta. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the organization and all the special work it does.

Since 2001, HomeAid Atlanta has built 16 housing developments which now serve more than 750 homeless children, women and men in the metro Atlanta area each year. The goal is to provide a safe environment for people to rebuild their lives and get back on their feet. But it takes more than just the work of a few dedicated individuals. The organization relies on support and donations from home builders, trade partners, sponsors, donors, volunteers and members of the local community.

HomeAid Atlanta does several drives and fundraisers throughout the year, and one upcoming event is the 10th annual Essentials for Young Lives Drive from April 25 to May 2. This drive represents a community-wide effort to collect essentials such as diapers, baby wipes, baby food and formula for homeless infants and toddlers in the metro Atlanta area. Anyone can help by donating these items and giving to those less fortunate. All the collected items will be distributed just before Mother’s Day to assist homeless mothers and their children.

If you would like to participate in the drive or help in another capacity, HomeAid Atlanta is always looking for volunteers and donations. For more information, visit the HomeAid Atlanta website.
