‘Twas the day before Friday, a Thursday you see,

When Atlanta Real Estate Forum spied the Macy’s Great Tree

There is was, looming in the distance on Interstate 75 Southbound, destined for Atlanta: A large white pine, bundled up to begin its new life atop Macy’s at Lenox Square.

The Chattanooga Free Press gives a great report on the selection and harvesting of this particular tree. The tree had been under surveillance for the last 12 years, just waiting for its time to shine. That will be this year, and throngs of people will fill Lenox Square after their Thanksgiving feasts to participate in the lighting of the great tree; an Atlanta tradition that is over 60 years old.

Now that the tree has been spotted, it feels like the holidays are just ahead. Do you have any exciting holiday traditions or events you participate in with family or friends each year? Stay tuned to Atlanta Real Estate Forum throughout the season and we’ll keep you updated on the best events and shows around Atlanta.
