Courtney Stewart Atlanta PWB Chair

Denim Marketing is excited to share that Courtney Stewart, its VP of Client Services, is serving as the 2023 Chair for the Atlanta Professional Women in Building (PWB) Council. As the council celebrates its decade-long journey, Stewart’s leadership is set to invigorate the council’s events and programs by boosting sponsorship and participation, all in line with the theme “Thrive. Engage. Nurture.”

Stewart’s ambitious plans for the year rest on the solid groundwork established by previous boards and chairs. She aims to amplify the reach of PWB’s initiatives. PWB has already outpaced its sponsorship target, gathering over $35,000 in support of programming, and has successfully curated a diverse board with more than half of its members representing Atlanta home builders.

PWB 2023 Board “Watching Courtney Stewart assume the role of Chair for Atlanta Professional Women in Building is invigorating. Her zeal for uplifting women in homebuilding and her commitment to crafting significant and interactive experiences for members is genuinely motivating. I am confident that under Courtney’s stewardship, PWB will continue to expand and make a positive difference in the professional lives of women in our industry,” expressed Carol Morgan, Denim Marketing President and former NAHB PWB chair and founding member of Atlanta PWB.

In line with the “Thrive. Engage. Nurture.” theme, PWB’s activities inspire members to excel in their professional and personal lives, enhance engagement within the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, and cultivate business connections and personal ambitions.

PWB’s community service initiatives include a partnership with HomeAid Atlanta for the Essentials Drive, gifting self-care baskets to homeless mothers on Mother’s Day, and organizing a Care Day in September during PWB Week. The organization is also raising funds to award five $1,000 scholarships to students aiming for a career in the residential construction sector.

Cutting-edge programming like the annual Backyard Builder Bash provides members with unique networking opportunities and entertainment. This year’s event, planned for October 5, will feature an adult field day-style competition, food trucks and a live DJ.

PWB’s support of the Greater Atlanta HBA is integral to its mission, as it provides a niche for women in the predominantly male homebuilding industry. PWB’s emphasis on personal development and unique programming attracts professional women, offering them invaluable networking and personal growth opportunities.

PWB has an exciting lineup for the rest of the year, including a networking social on July 20, Care Day with HomeAid Atlanta on September 15, the Backyard Builder Bash on October 5, and a panel and election night program meeting on November 16.
