Shirley Gary, owner, broker and CEO of Engel & Völkers Buckhead Atlanta and Atlanta North Fulton, has made history in new home sales and marketing for over 30 years.
Gary has been a well-known name in the Atlanta Real Estate market for over 30 years. With a varied business background in real estate sales and management, she has particular expertise in new construction – holding prominent executive-level positions for several reputable national new homes companies.
Known for selling some of the world’s most exclusive properties, Engel & Völkers has been one of the world’s most influential real estate brands for more than 40 years. In 2007, Shirley was one of the first 50 to bring the Engel & Völkers brand to the Americas and one of the first to introduce it to Atlanta. And for the past nine years, she has ranked as the #1 Individual for Units Closed in the Americas.
Over the course of her career, Shirley and her Engel & Völkers New Homes Division have represented several new home builders throughout Metro Atlanta while she continues to add business and staff daily. Those builders include Jim Chapman Communities, Edward Andrews Homes, Ashton Woods, Rockhaven Homes and more.
With her knowledge and experience in the new homes arena, she and her team have successfully represented over 200 communities throughout Metro Atlanta, with more than 5,000 homes sold. On top of that, Shirley has led her team to be the #1 Listing Brokerage for New Homes Closed in 2022.1
Working with each builder client, she works diligently to develop a marketing plan tailored to each community. Because she understands that no builder has unlimited resources to spend in marketing dollars, she aims to increase sales and provide the proper marketing efforts while limiting the builder’s financial burden.
Beyond her real estate expertise, Shirley is a big advocate for giving back to the community and strongly supports the Special Olympics, the charity of record for Engel & Völkers. Her shops are prominent participants in the charity through their Contribution at Close Program, where a particular portion of the commissions is donated to Special Olympics. But, that’s not where it stops. To take it even further, Shirley also matches that donation herself. This past year, she and her two shops donated over $25,000 to the organization – helping her earn the Special Olympics Champion Award for 2022.
