Whit Marshall, 2021 Spike Club Award Winner

2021 Spike Club Award Winner – Whit Marshall, Paran Homes

Hosted by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (HBA), the 2022 Annual Installation and Awards Ceremony took place at the Omni Hotel at the Battery. At this year’s ceremony, Whit Marshall with Paran Homes was announced as the 2021 Spike Club Award winner.

Membership is the lifeblood of the Greater Atlanta HBA, and the first step to growing membership is recruiting new members. Those who participate in recruitment efforts are consistently referred to as Spikes and are among the most valued members of the association.

Member-to-member recruitment and retention efforts are highly valued due to the grassroots growth and stability it brings to the association.
These efforts lend to the development of the general membership and leadership pipeline, keeping the face of the association true to that of the industry and scope of interests the Greater Atlanta HBA represents.

The Spike Award goes to the member who has the highest recorded number of new members recruited throughout the calendar year. Many association members were intentional about recruiting members throughout this past year.

In 2021, the Greater Atlanta HBA held its first membership drive after taking a couple of years off. A membership drive’s success or failure is dependent on the participation of active members. The 2021 Spike Award winner not only recruited the newest members this year but was an integral part in rallying members to recruit and participate in the membership drive. During the membership drive and throughout the year, Whit Marshall managed to recruit 22 new members, and as membership chair, oversaw a 9% membership growth.

Marshall’s efforts, along with that of our staff and board members, are what enabled the Greater Atlanta HBA to have a successful year.

Congratulations to Whit Marshall for the incredible accolade!
