In May 2013, the “Where will we spring up next?” interactive social media campaign was developed to announce Traton Homes’ newest Atlanta community, Lafayette Square in Sandy Springs. On Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2014 that campaign won silver for Best Social Media Campaign at The Nationals.
Over the years, Traton Homes has had a longstanding partnership with Carol Morgan and her team to create strategic marketing initiatives that include public relations, search engine optimization (SEO) and social media. “Carol is always offering unique and exciting ways to engage our consumers, and this interactive social media campaign was as fresh as it was effective,” said Kimberly Garwood, marketing director for Traton Homes. “It is wonderful partnering with Carol Morgan and her team and we are thrilled that this campaign was recognized among the best in the nation.”
The “Where will we spring up next?” campaign was built on an interactive Facebook landing page, and promoted on various social media sites, including both the Traton Homes website and blog. To participate, visitors clicked on a campaign landing page that encouraged them to guess the location of Traton’s newest community. When a visitor clicked on a location (marked as a flower), the flower “bloomed” into a submission form with opt-in lead capture. Throughout the 19 day campaign, Traton Homes received 100 unique guesses, 310 Facebook likes, 246 landing page visits and a 77 percent increase in Facebook traffic.
The Nationals is presented by the National Sales and Marketing Council (NSMC) and is held in conjunction with the International Builders Show. Now in its 33rd year, The National pays tribute to superior sales and marketing achievements by individuals, home builders, associates and sales and marketing councils.
