Parkland Residential Celebrates Grand Opening of Palmetto Cay in Pooler

Parkland Residential, the build-to-rent (BTR) division of Parkland Communities, celebrated the grand opening of Palmetto Cay with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Oct. 23, 2026. Located within the Providence at Pooler mixed-use development at the intersection of Pooler Parkway and Pine Barren Road, the new 148-unit stacked townhome community introduces well-appointed missing-middle rental housing to the greater Savannah area.

Palmetto Cay is designed using traditional neighborhood design (TND) principles, with rear entry homes facing a central community green with inter-connect walkways that encourages connection among residents. Additional amenities include a pool, cabana, playground, dog park and playfield for residents to enjoy.

This grand opening also marks the beginning of a new tradition for Parkland Residential. For all future grand openings, the company will highlight a local non-profit in each celebration to help promote and support their cause. Parkland proudly donated $10,000 to Gilliard & Company, a Pooler-based nonprofit serving children and young adults in foster care, particularly those aging out of the system who still need support. Founded by CEO Whitney Lam Gilliard, the organization draws on her firsthand experience in foster care to help young people navigate the challenges of transitioning into adulthood.

“We want our impact in Pooler to extend beyond the communities we build,” said Jim Jacobi, president of Parkland Residential. “Supporting organizations like Gilliard & Company is one way we can help improve the local community and support the people who call Pooler home.”

The rear-entry townhomes feature open-concept layouts featuring two- or three-bedrooms with two-and-a-half bathrooms and a four-bedroom option with three bathrooms. Residents enjoy spacious primary suites with large walk-in closets and spa-like bathrooms with dual vanities. Covered front porches overlook the community green, creating space to entertain guests or socially gather with neighbors.

All four-bedroom homes have a bedroom and bathroom on the main level and 2,285 square feet of living space, the three-bedroom homes feature a loft and 1,950 square feet of living space, while two-bedroom homes offer open interiors spanning 1,600 square feet.

Located in the New Hampstead High School district, Palmetto Cay prioritizes a maintenance-free lifestyle. All home appliances are included, along with exterior maintenance services such as yard care, pest control and home repairs. The community also offers convenient access to shopping and dining, while nearby roadways connect residents to major employers and Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport.

Parkland Residential is actively seeking more land in the Pooler area. Landowners interested in selling property can contact Jim Jacobi. For more information on Parkland Residential and its latest developments, visit www.ParklandCo.com.
