The Georgia Aquarium has something for everyone this winter season in Atlanta. Megan Fisher, Public Relations Coordinator at the Georgia Aquarium, joins Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio co-hosts Carol Morgan and Todd Schnick to discuss some of the upcoming events and activities during Winter Fest.

Winter Fest is comprised of a number of enhanced events and activities, the perfect escape from the cold…or heat. From a fun day with the family exploring the many galleries and exhibits or going out for a date night to Sips Under the Sea, there is something for every member of the family at the aquarium.

Every Friday from 5 to 8 p.m., guests can enjoy live music and bars featuring specialty cocktails. Friday Nights at the Georgia Aquarium is a kid-friendly event and no separate ticket is required, just expect a more lively visit on your Friday trip to the aquarium.

Another kid-friendly event is Toddler Time, which takes place the first Monday of each month. This one-and-a-half-hour experience caters to children aged 0 to 3 and features storytime, craft activities, a small snack, a costumed character appearance and meeting and learning about an approachable animal. The next Toddler Time is on Monday, March 6 at 10 a.m. with a “Celebrating Green” theme.

Some special upcoming events include Sips Under the Sea and Coral Carnival. Sips Under the Sea is for guests 21-years and older and will be on Friday, March 17 with a St. Patrick’s Day them! Guests will enjoy music, signature cocktails and delicious tapas in celebration of the luck of the Irish at this after-hours event. Doors open at 7 p.m. for general admission and at 6 p.m. for VIP guests. VIP guests will also receive two drink tickets and two small plate/tapas tickets. Additional food and beverage will be available for purchase to all that attend.

This Saturday, February 25, Coral Carnival will celebrate one of the most critical animals to the oceanic ecosystem: coral. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., guests will experience Caribbean culture through Carnival-inspired interactive and educational coral activities. This event is complimentary with the purchase of a general admission ticket.

A number of ticket offers are available for both Early Birds and Night Owls. Learn more about special rates, including Military Mondays and Me and Mommy discounted tickets. To get the most out of your visit to the Georgia Aquarium, plan ahead and buy tickets online. Visit GeorgiaAquarium.org to learn more.
