Homebuilding professionals, men and women alike, as well as members of the Professional Women In Building Council Atlanta Chapter (Atlanta PWB) will not want to miss the June program meeting. On Wednesday, June 6, Atlanta PWB will be joined by Channel 2 Action News (WSB-TV) Anchor, Lori Wilson, for a presentation on “Lights, Camera, Confidence!”

    Wilson, an Emmy Award-winning WSB-TV anchor, will share her story of a career trajectory that includes her passion for giving back to the community and the importance of exuding confidence in a career and in life. Prior to joining WSB-TV in January 2017, Wilson was an anchor on KSIA-TV in Shreveport, Louisiana, a reporter on WCIA-TV in Champaign, Illinois, spent three years at WGCL-TV in Atlanta as an anchor and entertainment reporter and returned to her hometown of Indinanapolis to work for WISH-TV. Following these valuable experiences, she spent seven-and-a-half years at WCAU in Philadelphia, where she reported live from the second inauguration of President Barack Obama, anchored coverage of Hurricane Sandy and field-anchored everything from station coverage of NBC’s Education Nation to the Phillies home opener.

    wsb-tvWhen she isn’t onscreen, Wilson is the creator of an online magazine for young Black women, a children’s book author, a member of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and The Indianapolis Chapter of the Links, Inc. She also holds board positions for several organizations.

    The program meeting will begin with registration and networking at 11:15 a.m., followed by lunch and the program at noon.
