The University of Georgia (UGA) Alumni Association has unveiled its 2021 Bulldog 100, a list of the fastest-growing businesses owned or operated by UGA alumni, and Cartersville natives Matt and Stephen Womack’s company Womack Custom Homes made the list! Both brothers are proud UGA alumni and fourth-generation home builders.
Applicants to the 2021 Bulldog 100 were measured by their business’ compounded annual growth rate during a 3-year period. The Atlanta office of Warren Averett CPAs and Advisors, a Bulldog 100 partner since the program began in 2009, verified the information submitted by each company. UGA received 429 nominations for the 2021 list.

Womack Custom Homes experienced phenomenal growth from 2017 to 2019 and into 2020, fueled by the brothers’ reputation for building a quality home paired with low interest rates. In 2020, the builder completed a historic renovation, two custom builds, three remodels, two active-adult homes and started eight townhomes during the year. Projects ranged in size and scope with prices from the mid-$100,000s to over $1 million.
The 2021 Bulldog 100 includes businesses of all sizes and from industries such as technology, cosmetics, entertainment and education. Spanning across two countries and nine U.S. states, 81 of the 100 recognized companies are located within Georgia.
The UGA Alumni Association will host the annual Bulldog 100 Celebration virtually on February 11, 2021, to celebrate the alumni business leaders and count down the ranked list to ultimately reveal the No. 1 fastest-growing business.
