Presented by the Atlanta Sales and Marketing Council, the OBIE Awards are the premier awards given in the Atlanta new home construction industry.

The homeowner, who had previously purchased the lot from a golf club, sought Longo Homes out to help create and build a home that could meet the vision they had for the property. The homeowner wanted it to stand out as a new home in an existing subdivision, but not become an eyesore.

Longo Homes collaborated with a local designer to create a perfectly crafted home that far exceeded the initial vision of the client. The home was completed with a gorgeous custom kitchen and trademark Longo touches such as distressed beams in the master bedroom and kitchen, custom tile and hardwood blends. Brick steps, porches and accents on the exterior gave this home the winning touches for an OBIE award.

The Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association’s OBIE Awards celebrates its 37th anniversary in 2017. The awards began in 1980 and have grown throughout the years to include more than 100 building, remodeling, marketing and personal achievement categories. The OBIE Awards are named after the obelisk shape of the actual award given.
