Uncle Shuck’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch in Dawnsonville, Ga., is open for a 10th consecutive year. This highly-popular, agri-tourism attraction in Dawson County offers multiple maze trails, hayrides, bonfires, climbing goats and new corn-ference rooms for school field trips. You and your family can enjoy all of these activities every weekend in September and November (through Nov. 20) and every day in October.

If you’ve been to Uncle Shuck’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch in years past, there are several new changes to the event including three Corn-ference rooms, which are outdoor classrooms in the cornfield to educate school groups. A special $7 ticket is available for groups Tuesday to Friday. Each student receives a 32-page coloring book with a free pass for a return visit and a mini pumpkin.

Of course, many of the activities you know and love – Kiddie CORNer, Tower Goat Walk, Picnic Pavilion, Festival Food area, tractor-drawn hayrides, bonfire area (weekends), festival food vendors (weekends), Pumpkin Patch (October), and Haunted Maze (October) – are all back and better than ever.

Maze admission is free for children four and younger and just $10 for everyone else. Fees vary for other activities at the agri-tourism complex, but Cob Combo tickets include admission to the maze and the hay ride for just $13. Admission is free for the Picnic Pavilion, Kiddie CORNer (soybean maze, tractor display, hay bales) and festival food area.

Each year, youth and church groups also attend Uncle Shuck’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch. Scout weekends are popular, attracting 2,500 boys and girls over two weekends. Boy Scout Weekend will be Sept 24-25 and Girl Scout Weekend follows on Oct 1-2. A Scout Pass is available for $12, which includes entry into the maze, a hayride, a commemorative badge and a blacksmith demonstration (11 a.m. to 3 p.m. each weekend day). A similar offer is available to any scout who attends on other days during the season, while supplies of patches last.

Uncle Shuck’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch is located only 40 minutes from metro Atlanta, just two miles west from the North Georgia Premium Outlet Mall on Georgia Highway 53. For more information, visit www.uncleshucks.com, or follow the progress of the maze on Facebook.
