The 14th Annual Kirkwood Spring Fling and Tour of Homes is back! Join neighbors and friends for family-friendly activities at Bessie Branham Park on Saturday, May 14 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The free-admission festival, benefitting the Kirkwood Neighbors’ Organization, kicks off with a 5K race through Downtown Kirkwood at 8 a.m. and the fun continues throughout the day with live music, a local artists market and local vendors selling food, drinks and treats. There is even a barbecue competition and a kid’s area with inflatables, bounce houses and more!
Anyone can compete in the Blue Ribbon BBQ Cook Off, just make sure you enter by May 8. Barbecue recipes can consist of chicken or pork and participants will be competing for cash prizes, custom trophies and, of course, bragging rights. Visitors of the Spring Fling can taste the entries for $5 a fork.
Whether you are seeking design inspiration, curious about renovation and add-on projects or considering moving to the area, the Tour of Homes is an excellent opportunity to become better acquainted with the Kirkwood community. This two-day event allows participants to explore the many different personalities and styles that make up this energetic and distinctive community. Tickets cost $20 and benefit the Kirkwood Neighbors’ Organization, a local nonprofit dedicated to community improvement. Purchase tickets online or at Taproom Coffee the last week of April.
