The Junior Service League of Woodstock invites you to hop aboard the Downtown Woodstock Trolley for its 18th Annual Holiday Tour of Homes. Featuring seven beautifully-decorated homes, this year’s tour will be held on Saturday, Nov. 8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 9 from noon to 5 p.m.
One of these charming homes includes The Petty Home owned by Jo and Dan Petty. Jo is the designer and owner of the Jo Petty Designs and has decorated her own home for this tour. When it comes to decorating a home Jo believes “a home should wrap itself around its client.” Located in the beautiful Garden Street community, The Petty home is full of charm and personal touches that reflect their lifestyle.
A front porch invites neighbors and friends to sit together and enjoy each others’ company while comfortably reclining in one of the gliders. As you enter through the front door, you will be immersed by the home’s charm. The open space is elegant and comfortable; showcasing the owner’s many treasures they have collected from their travels around the world.
On the main floor, Jo’s art studio, a guest suite and a cozy kitchen opens to the main living area. The elegant dining room and large enclosed deck are perfect for entertaining family and friends for the holidays. A master suite completes the main floor with a one-of-a-kind master bath perfect for a restful retreat. Down below, a media room and second guest retreat will host fun holiday décor and Dan’s office showcases his memorabilia from a 39 year association with the US Navy. The terrace level opens to an outdoor oasis with an enclosed porch surrounded by the gorgeous courtyard and complete with a fire pit and fountain.
The beauty and warmth of this home is enhanced by the holiday décor and floral arrangements by Emily Gale and Kristen Hester of Full Bloom Florists.
