With summer right around the corner, one of the best ways to enjoy the beautiful weather is by attending fun-filled festivals with plenty of music and food. On Saturday, June 4, the Wing & Rock Festival will kick off at 12 p.m. at the Etowah River Park & Amphitheater in Canton. This FREE two-day festival is a rain or shine event lasting from noon to 9 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
As the third largest chicken wing festival in the country, some of the best tasting wings can be found here. To list a few, here are some things to do for all who come:
Live Music
One of the many things to do while enjoying some tasty wings is to see performances at the outdoor amphitheatre at Etowah River Park. There will be plenty of bands when the gates open to enjoy such as a Beatles Tribute band, a Foreigner Tribute band and many more. Be sure not to miss out on these great performances.
Wing Eating Contest
There will be plenty of food and beverages to enjoy while at the festival. Vendors will be selling chicken wings with a variety of sauces and other food to keep you happy. However, be sure not to miss the wing eating contest on both days. Contestants will be given two minutes to eat as many wings covered in sauce as possible. The top three finishers will receive t-shirts, bragging rights and more. Don’t miss out on all the fun!
Kids Zone
Be sure to bring the entire family for this family-friendly event. There will be a Kids Zone with arts and crafts and a playground for the children to take advantage of while the family enjoys everything the festival has to offer.
