Taylor Morrison’s Atlanta Division was recently honored at the 40th Annual OBIE Awards on October 24. Hosted by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (HBA) and the Atlanta Sales and Marketing Council (SMC), the OBIE Awards serve as the premier awards in the Atlanta residential real estate market and new home construction industry. This year, Taylor Morrison was honored with a Gold OBIE in the community service category for its work with HomeAid Atlanta.
Taylor Morrison, a company built upon community outreach, contributed $81,711 to aid in HomeAid Atlanta’s endeavors to build new lives for families and individuals experiencing homelessness in metro Atlanta. This contribution not only earned the company a Gold OBIE for the Best Community Service Project, but it also helped over 2,200 families in need.
In addition, to monetary donations, Taylor Morrison remodeled a kitchen and made improvements at North Georgia Angel House. The company donated several useful materials and allowed HomeAid Atlanta access to its design center for future projects. Finally, the group contributed greatly to the first-ever virtual Essentials Drive, ensuring its success.

While the scope of entry into the OBIE Awards spans from June 2019 – June 2020, Taylor Morrison returned to North Georgia Angel House to continue work on the home in October of 2020. Further work included a bathroom remodel, complete exterior painting and work on drainage issues. The company continued to help HomeAid Atlanta achieve its goal of building new lives.
