Sterling on the Lake is excited to announce the seventh annual Harvest Balloon Festival. This year’s event will take place Saturday, October 15 from 3 until 9 p.m. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Hall County Animal Shelter and Challenged Childs & Friends, an organization that provides services to special needs children through a variety of tactics.
The Sterling on the Lake community is owned in a joint venture partnership between North America Sekisui House, LLC (NASH) the US business unit and full subsidiary of Sekisui House, Ltd, Japan’s largest homebuilder and leading diversified developer, and Newland Real Estate Group, LLC, whose development business, Newland Communities, is the master developer of the community. It is one of 36 assets the NASH-Newland partnership manages together, in 11 states across the US.
This year’s Harvest Balloon Festival includes a variety of fun fall activities for everyone to enjoy. Attendees can choose from pumpkin painting, balloon rides, zip lining, bumper cars, tasting local food and browsing vendor booths. There will also be an adoption tent onsite, courtesy of the Hall County Animal Shelter, allowing attendees to potentially meet their new best friend.
Attendees to the Festival will also have two opportunities to ride in a hot air balloon. Tethered balloon rides are $15 per person and will take place Saturday evening from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m., and Sunday from 8 until 9:30 a.m. Tickets will be sold for tethered rides on a first come, first served basis. Up, Up & Away balloon rides are also available for purchase. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take a real hot air balloon ride over North Georgia, has limited availability and tickets are $250 per person. The flights will take place Sunday morning at 8 a.m. Those interested in purchasing a full balloon ride are encouraged to call 770-967-9777 to book their flight.
