SRP Lending, a prominent private money lender, announces the appointment of Jessica L. McCoy, CPA, MBA, as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In her new role, Jessica McCoy will oversee all financial and accounting functions for the company.
Having been an external advisor and CPA with SRP Lending since its inception, McCoy is stepping into the role of CFO with the familiarity of a seasoned team member. “Jessica has the unique advantage of transitioning into the role of CFO already armed with a deep understanding of our operations,” says Geoffrey Deckelbaum, Principal at SRP Lending. “Her comprehensive experience and dedicated service make her an invaluable asset to our company and clients.”
With more than 18 years in public accounting across diverse industries, McCoy has significant experience in private accounting for her family’s business, specializing in new home construction, property management and residential real estate financing. She served as a tax manager at O’Neal & Associates, PC, CPAs for 13 years before its acquisition by Smith, Adcock and Company, LLP, where she continued to excel for another five and a half years. McCoy was pivotal in successfully integrating O’Neal & Associates into Smith, Adcock, expertly managing the client onboarding process.
Throughout her career, McCoy has successfully implemented new software platforms and paperless processes to improve client experience and overall efficiency, demonstrating her innovative approach to problem-solving. She is known for her extensive tax knowledge and has acted as a trusted advisor to numerous clients throughout her public accounting career.
McCoy graduated summa cum laude with an MBA and BBA from Brenau University and is a licensed CPA in Georgia. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
