With the holidays just around the corner, the season for family, friends and good food is almost here. It’s also the time of year that many children look forward to all year long. Unfortunately, for many families in the Atlanta-area, toys just can’t be part of their holiday celebrations because of financial hardship. Local home builder SR Homes believes that every child should have an opportunity to experience the fun and excitement of the holidays, especially the joy of unwrapping their very own toy. This is why the builder has teamed up with Toys For Tots to spread joy this year.
Giving is as easy as 1-2-3. From now through Dec. 13, SR Homes will collect new toys for boys and girls from newborn to age 12 at eight of its new home communities. The local area is encouraged to participate by bringing new and unwrapped toys to the communities listed below. As an added benefit, each person donating a toy will get an entry to win a prize that will be drawn at the end of the toy drive! Gifts tend to be in short supply for children who are newborn to age two and those that are 10 or older. Suggestions for gifts to buy for older children include makeup kits, hair dryers, watches, colognes, perfumes, basketballs, footballs and sporting equipment. Bicycles are always a great choice, and the demand for them is rarely met. However, if a bicycle is purchased, a helmet must accompany it.
