Sometimes the best things in life come from the simplest of recipes. At Wigley Preserve from Lennar Atlanta, we’ve combined a great location, superior schools, generous home sites, livable home plans and Lennar’s “Everything’s Included” feature to create one of East Cobb’s fastest selling new home communities.
These “everything included” homes offer standard features such as three-sides brick exteriors, extensive hardwood flooring and gourmet kitchens with maple cabinetry and stainless steel GE appliances. Homes also include luxurious master suites with generous sized spa-like baths and walk-in closet space, energy-efficient features and a Nexia home intelligence package. Homes in Wigley Preserve come in a variety of stunning four to six bedroom floor plans priced from the high $300,000s. This has proved to be a winning recipe, as in just under a year, this 48 home community is approximately 80 percent sold!
During a tour of Wigley Preserve’s decorated model, the Aspen-D, guests may notice a bowl of lemons on the gorgeous island kitchen, which inspires a taste for an ice cold, homemade lemonade on these hot summer days. Here’s another winning, yet simple recipe we’d like to share:
1 cup sugar (can reduce to 3/4 cup)
1 cup water (for the simple syrup)
1 cup lemon juice
3 to 4 cups cold water (to dilute)
1 Make simple syrup by heating the sugar and water in a small saucepan until the sugar is dissolved completely.
2 While the sugar is dissolving, use a juicer to extract the juice from 4 to 6 lemons, enough for one cup of juice.
3 Add the juice and the sugar water to a pitcher. Add 3 to 4 cups of cold water, more or less to the desired strength. Refrigerate 30 to 40 minutes. If the lemonade is a little sweet for your taste, add a little more straight lemon juice to it.
Serve with ice, sliced lemons.
Yield: Serves 6.
