Bike Barks BBQ VolunteeringVolunteers from the Atlanta office of SouthEast Real Estate Investments will be helping to facilitate and participate in the 4th Annual Bikes – Barks – Barbeque event hosted by Carla Brown with Canine Pet Rescue on Saturday, April 19th from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The fundraiser is comprised of two separate fun events all rolled into one and all to raise money for rescue dogs and have some good, family fun in the beautiful Spring weather!

The first event is The Trey Phillips Memorial Ride, a motorcycle tour, that starts at 8 a.m. at the Gwinnett County Detention Center at 2900 University Parkway, Lawrenceville, GA 30043-4588. The Lawrenceville Police Motorcycle Squad will escort the riders from there at 9 a.m. on a three-hour springtime ride that will end at Big Sky Farm/Canine Pet Rescue at 2625 Jones Phillips Road, Dacula, GA 30019.

The second event will begin at approximately 12 noon at Big Sky Farm/Canine Pet Rescue, which is no stranger to animal charity work. The farm is the site of a number of equine and canine welfare projects. Activities for the BBQ event will include delicious food, dog demonstrations, raffle, silent auction, pet adoptions and much more for a big afternoon of fun, all to benefit dogs in need of a good home. There will even be live music!

The event is family friendly, and tickets range from $5 for children’s lunch tickets only to $25 for riders (which includes a t-shirt and lunch ticket) and everything in between – including those who only want to eat and virtual riders. Visit to learn more about the event and register. Well mannered, leashed and vaccinated pets are welcome, too!
