GAHBA August General MeetingAs an Atlanta home builder it is required to have a builder’s license, but do you know what all that entails? This month, at Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association’s (GAHBA) regional meeting, Secretary of State, Brian Kemp, will provide builders with on update on builder licensing.

Secretary Kemp has served as the Georgia Secretary of State since January 2010. In his role as Secretary of State, Secretary Kemp oversees professional licensing boards including the State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors. Additionally, throughout his career, Secretary Kemp has established many small businesses, including Kemp Properties, a small business specializing in real estate investments and property management.

This informative meeting is one that you will not want to miss. It will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Maggiano’s – Cumberland with lunch beginning at noon. Interested participants are encouraged to pre-register for the event online. Cost of this educational class is $15 for builders, $27 for associates and $37 for non-members. For those who do not pre-register, there will be a $15 walk-in fee.
