The Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (HBA) provides benefits to its members in several ways, but a very important benefit to becoming a member is the opportunity to get involved in advocating for policies and laws that will reward the hard work of all professionals associated with Atlanta’s home building industry and protesting against policies that will hurt their efforts.

Anyone who would like to get involved with the Greater Atlanta HBA Governmental Affairs Committee should attend the committee’s first meeting of 2018. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, January 16 from 10 a.m. to noon in the HBA Board Room at the Greater Atlanta HBA’s office, located at 1484 Brockett Road in Tucker. Please RSVP to Rachel Hodge by calling 678-775-1420 or emailing RHodge@AtlantaHBA.com. If you cannot make this meeting, then make plans to head to the Greater Atlanta HBA’s office on the Third Tuesday of each month.

In addition to attending the HBA Governmental Affairs Committee meetings, those interested in advocating for the home building industry are encouraged to join their local county chapter. 2018 has brought the county chapter system, which allows members to advocate on a more local level, back to the Greater Atlanta HBA. The chapters include Cobb/Cherokee, Dekalb/Rockdale, Forsyth, Gwinnett, Inner Atlanta (City of Atlanta), Metro South (Clayton, Henry and South Fulton Counties) and North Fulton. Learn more about chapter events here and information on joining your local chapter here.

Since 1945, the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association has provided essential resources for its members, including education, advocacy and networking with other home building industry professionals. Forge important partnerships and become a part of something larger at work by joining today.
