Sales Uncomplicated President David Hagan joins the Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio podcast to discuss the Uncomplicated Sales Training Method, the evolution of sales and the benefit of “The Customer Experience Equation.” Hagan joins host Carol Morgan on the All About Real Estate segment.
Originally from Savannah, Hagan moved to Atlanta five years ago with his wife of almost 30 years, Rebecca, and their three daughters. Sharing a passion for homebuilding, all three of Hagan’s daughters work within the industry.
Earlier this year, Hagan took a bittersweet leave from his job of four years at Smith Douglas Communities to pursue his own company. After much prayer, consideration and planning, Hagan started Sales Uncomplicated – a full-service sales training, coaching and consulting company. Always seeing himself working exclusively with home builders, Hagan noticed a call to also work with mortgage lenders, real estate brokers and attorneys within the homebuilding space.
Hagan said, “I see uncomplicated as a verb. We come in and uncomplicate things.”
According to Hagan, there are four essential factors in helping simplify efforts for sales teams:
- Companies must have a sales process that the team believes in and can execute properly.
- Sales teams should have a prospecting process that works efficiently and promptly.
- Teams should easily manage backlog using a follow-up process.
- Companies should have a sales culture that sets their sales team apart from the competition.
Hagan said, “I have found that the most successful sales teams have a sales culture that is part of their company culture.”
With customers often showing up already knowing as much information about the model home as the salesperson, it can throw the sales process off course. An adaptive sales process that allows the salesperson to customize their presentation according to the customer, the Uncomplicated Method created by Hagan decreases the stress of following the traditional sales process. This unique method allows salespeople to start their sales process at any stage without having to abandon specific steps or their customers!
