Kirk Ricketts Wins Salesperson of the Year

At this year’s 41st Annual OBIE Awards, Kirk Ricketts with David Weekley Homes took home the Gold OBIE Award for Salesperson of the Year! A premier honor in the Atlanta new home construction industry, the OBIE Awards are presented by the Atlanta Sales and Marketing Council (SMC) on behalf of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (HBA). Atlanta Real Estate Forum congratulates Kirk Ricketts on the impressive win.

Selling to active adult buyers requires more marketing and communication over a longer period of time. Working closely with the marketing and construction departments, Ricketts created touchpoints to share with active adult buyers that set him apart from five other builders in the immediate market and 10 more in the secondary market.

With supply chain disruptions and an unprecedented demand for new homes, Ricketts used price versus value equilibrium to help customers realize the benefit of purchasing in the current market. In the face of objections, Ricketts investigates the current practices, asks team members questions about positively impacting outcomes and implements solutions for better results. His genuine care for enhancing the lives of his buyers on a personal and emotional level builds long-lasting relationships after the final sale.

The sales volume for his 41 units sold over the past year is $19,396,885, with 28 units closing at $12,332,176, an impressive feat even in the current red hot market! Ricketts is the recipient of a long list of accolades, including Sales Consultant of the Year for Revenue, Units Sold and Customer Satisfaction, the Star Achievement Award for his promotion to Senior Lead Sales Consultant and a 100% score of “Definitely Would Recommend” among 41 buyers. He is also a member of the Georgia Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors, the National Association of Home Builders and the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association.
