new mixed-use development in alpharettaConstruction is picking up pace at Avalon, the new mixed-use development located in the heart of Alpharetta, and many of the first homes, restaurants and retail stores are beginning to take shape. With the development’s retail grand opening scheduled for Oct. 30, 2014, prospective home buyers and nearby residents are becoming excited for the impressive list of shopping and dining options, as well as amenities, which will soon be available.

The lineup of new eating establishments will provide something for everyone, from a deli to frozen yogurt and bison to sushi. Steve Palmer’s Oak Steakhouse, which provides diners with world-class American cuisine, is currently under construction right next door to the Live/Work homes being built by Monte Hewett Homes. Several chefs are also opening their first restaurants outside of Atlanta at Avalon. These include Antico Pizza Napoletana, a traditional Italian pizzeria; Bantam + Biddy, a casual family-friendly eatery with all-natural, organic menu items; Bocado Burger Bar; Marlow’s Tavern; The El Felix, a brand new Tex-Mex concept from chef Ford Fry; and Chef Ciaran Duffy’s Bantu. Kona Grill also joins the lineup with its first restaurant concept in the market which offers an exotic escape through innovative entrees, fish, sushi and more.

The list of retail options that will soon be available at Avalon is equally as impressive as the list of dining establishments. Retailers include Calypso St. Barth, C. Wonder, Columbia Sportswear, Free People, Kendra Scott, Anthropologie, Arhaus, Tommy Bahama and much more.

There will also be services available, such as DryBar, a nail spa and Van Michael Salon, as well as a Whole Foods market for all of your grocery needs. A new FlyWheel studio will be located at Avalon, while Exhale will also offer Core Fusion fitness classes and yoga, providing residents with ample opportunity to stay healthy.
