A rainy summer may have postponed Fourth of July celebrations in Kennesaw, but this Saturday, residents will have the opportunity to celebrate Independence Day with the City of Kennesaw’s rescheduled Salute to America celebration. With festivities scheduled to begin in downtown Kennesaw at 6 p.m., attendees will enjoy live music, a variety of kids activities, delicious festival food and one of the biggest and brightest star-spangled fireworks displays in North Georgia.
The red, white and blue tradition in Kennesaw will have 129 & Counting, an internationally renowned barbershop quartet, kick things off at 6:15 p.m. with their renditions of timeless classics of American patriotism. The headliner will be Hollywood Nights, a tribute to Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band, who will put on a show starting at 7:30 p.m. More fun can be found at the family entertainment stage located near Main Street, which will showcase local dance and music acts.
The spectacular fireworks display will begin at 9:30 p.m. and will be visible from several locations throughout downtown Kennesaw.
