Atlanta Real Estate Forum congratulates Micaela Quinton with Copper Sky Renovations on her incredible win of Remodeler of the Year at this year’s 41st Annual OBIE Awards. Presented by the Atlanta Sales and Marketing Council (SMC) on behalf of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (HBA), the OBIE Awards are a premier honor in the Atlanta new home construction industry.

Quinton joined the Copper Sky Renovations Design-Build team in 2018 as the principal designer and currently heads the group, handling project phases between concept and construction. While managing three other designers in her group, she delivers functional, purposeful solutions that combine seamlessly and creatively with aesthetics.

Quinton is also a critical member of the Copper Sky Renovations leadership team and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience of design and remodeling to the intown Atlanta market. Her critical input has led to the growth and success of her team and the company.

With more than 13 years of experience in both commercial and residential design and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Valdosta State University, Quinton is a licensed Registered Interior Designer (RID). In 2009, Quinton received her National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) and is also an active member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA).

Along with her team, Quinton developed detailed and thoughtful architectural plans that allow the Copper Sky Renovations construction team to meet the intended vision of every client. She approaches design as a powerful problem-solving tool while playing a vital role in nurturing a client’s vision from concept to reality.

Quinton created, developed and grew the design team from scratch to a highly efficient crew of three lead designers and one junior designer that transformed the company into a robust design-build firm. In doing so, she developed specific and detailed design processes that allow Copper Sky Renovations to manage up to 30 projects in the pre-construction/design phase at once.

Some of the processes include a detailed scorecard that ensures designers track and complete the numerous tasks involved to transition a project to construction. With Quinton’s attention to detail, project management experience and delivery of beautiful projects, Copper Sky Renovations clients regularly see the original vision for their dream home come to life.

Named after the obelisk shape of the award, the 2021 OBIE Awards presented by the Greater Atlanta HBA celebrated its 41st anniversary this year. The awards began in 1980 and grew to include more than 100 building, remodeling, marketing and personal achievement categories.
