2014 is going to be a big year for the active adult home builder Jim Chapman Communities. With only 20 homes left in all communities, Brookhaven of East Cobb and Brookhaven at Lanier Ridge will be joining Brookhaven at Sugarloaf in closing out soon.

Kelly Dempsey, the vice president of sales and marketing for Jim Chapman Communities, is excited about this year’s momentum and looks forward to future projects. To get more of his perspective and answer all of your questions, here is a short Q&A:

Exactly how many homes are available at each of the communities?

We have two more homes at Brookhaven of East Cobb and 18 more homes available at Brookhaven at Lanier Ridge. All homes feature brick and stone construction with inviting front porches, two and three bedroom award-winning floor plans, optional screened porches and bonus rooms with full baths.

What time frame do you expect for closing out these communities?

We feel like we will be closed out of all three by the year’s end.

Why should active adult buyers take advantage of these final opportunities?

With current development restrictions, rising costs and difficulties financing for developing any new communities, it may take one year or so for additional new homes to be available.

What are some of your home buyers’ favorite features of these communities?

Our buyers appreciate the sense of safety and security. Each community is completely gated, perfect for locking and leaving! Additionally, our buyers love the roomy, livable floor plans with the ability to personalize homes with their own upgrade choices. Plus, our variety of amenities attracts many of our buyers. Amenities include beautiful pools, outdoor fireplaces and clubhouses with exercise rooms and catering kitchens.

What sets these communities apart?

Location, location, location! Each community is located where people want to live. They are not remote locations. Instead, they are easily accessible from I-75, I-85, 400, stores, restaurants, recreation and medical facilities.

What’s next for Jim Chapman Communities?

We are actively pursuing new locations to purchase and develop new communities. We are very excited about what’s in store for Jim Chapman Communities, but don’t hesitate to visit one of our existing locations before they are all gone—for now!
