Michael Purser of Rosebud Co. in Atlanta will be featured Sunday, July 1, on “Home Innovations”, a live call-in radio program on 630 WMAL, the ABC News affiliate in Washington, DC. “Home Innovations”, hosted by Elaine Mikk, is a one-hour show from 11 a.m. until noon about what’s happening in the building, remodeling and home care industries. “We give the listeners news they can use,” said Kam Comastro, producer of the show. The invitation to appear on the show after Comastro read an article Purser had written for the July/August 2006 edition of Coastal Contractor Magazine.
Purser, who lives and has his office in the DeKalb County area of the city of Atlanta, is the owner of Rosebud Co., which since 1973 has provided many Atlanta homeowners and the managers of some of the nation’s historic properties the finest in wood floor refinishing, restoration and preservation.
The owner of Rosebud Co., Purser grew up around the wood flooring business, as his father, William B. Purser of Charlotte, N.C., started in the business in 1946, and his two brothers, Howard and David, continue in the business in Charlotte. Michael Purser began Rosebud Co. in Atlanta in 1973, doing his first work in older inner city neighborhoods where restoration work was in progress. Previous restoration projects by Rosebud Co. have taken place at the historic Patterson House in Washington, DC; The Flagler Museum in Palm Beach, Fl.; Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens in Akron, Oh.; and Rhodes Hall, Wren’s Nest, and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Atlanta.
